To the victims of the world.

Humans in nature resist everything and everyone different to their normal way of thought, opinions, skin color, religious beliefs, behavior, race and caste etc. Rich hates the Poor, Poor hates the Rich. Pretty hates Ugly and Ugly hates Pretty and the list goes on. When one hears something one does not want to hear, takes offense and acts the victim.
When something or someone is not your own kind, humans build up defenses. We ourselves become victims and build up defenses against what might not be a threat at all. What you might see as a threat may actually be a saving grace and show you what you have not seen in life, different perspectives which may help you expose yourselves to new experiences.
Yes, we all do act the victim, all the time. If life doesn't offers you what you want, you hate life, If you fall fatally ill, you would curse it. And in those moments you have forgotten from the moment you were born to the moment of your last breath, you have smiled a trillion plus times because of the things life had offered. You have forgotten that the people you have met, things you experienced might not be extravagant but might have added more meaning. Life does not offer you full of sorrows, but it is the human nature that remembers only the things that caused pain but not happiness even a simplest smile could offer.
Look around.
You are not the victim.
None of you are meant to be the victim.
If you think you are what are you going to do about it?

Starry Brown Eyes with Baby Blue.

And yes! Baby Blue makes starry brown eyes to glitter and shine.

Me prometo a mí mismo que iba a encontrar ......

Solitude

The Labyrinth of Solitude quotes "Solitude is the profoundest fact of the human condition. Man is the only being who knows he is alone, and the only one who seeks out another. His nature -if that word can be used in reference to man, who has ‘invented’ himself by saying ‘no’ to nature- consists in his longing to realize himself in another. Man is nostalgia and a search for communion. Therefore, when he is aware of himself he is aware of his lack of another, that is, of his solitude."

Solitude can be liberating at times of hurt and pain. It could be the best medication for the heartache and complications one faces at time of need. It could be the ideal solution to many problems without confrontations. It could be the free ticket to breakaway and leave the ugliness behind.

But is solitude the best answer to your problems? At this point I am unable to answer that myself. Solitude may give you enough space to figure out who you are and what you are here for. It could be the best way to unleash your inner demons before anyone can figure out they actually exist. It might allow to mend your broken soul and put the puzzles together.

For the best part of our lives we are trying to figure out what we are here for. Are we here just to feel solitude? Or else just skip to the point to be with a person whom you might not figure out even though you spend most of your life trying. Its best to figure out who you are while you go along the road and not leave regrets. Along the road find another who's worth to share all the laughter in life and solitude will give you peace to think for yourself while going your way.

Equations.

Almost always everything in life is based on equations. From the birth of a child to a death of a man life is one big equation to be balanced. This one big equation is balanced between vice and virtue where all positives are added and all the negatives are substracted. In the end how hard you try to sum up the equation and think there is no answer, there always is an answer.

Every relationship is an equation. It is an agreement between two people to bond together and eliminate the deriments is a characteristic of an equation. We partake in many activities in life in order to fulfill these equations up to their standards.

In simplest terms life was created based on an equation of words. In the bible it says, "In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God and the Word was God." Here the sequence of the words are aligned within an equation summed up.

Real science is based on all equations. From mathematics to molecular biology where your genome is profound equation of nuclear acids, everything relies on equations. And life as we know it cannot be without the base of an equation.

Take me there..

Take me there, to a place and time
where a gentle breeze can make you shiver
where the light reflects on a blue green ocean
and a humming bird sings along
to a melody of reasons
only you can find the answers

Take me there, from this chatter
to a place of calm and warmth
to love and hate without emptiness
to feel the ultimate passion
to overcome the strangeness
and rest in a moss of green

I saw you and you were wonderfully ordinary....

And so i saw you with fires of light burning through eyes.
Its a mistake to think life existence wasn't worth it without you.
I see me reflected through mirrors of joy...
You and me
with days of hope..
shining.
For I saw you...
so far and yet so wonderfully ordinary...

Just when I am twenty five.....

The rewinding back to the days,
of joy, hope and faith...
the days of existence of the defined words of 'me'...
I cried for sadness and fear,
laughed for happiness and hope...

In all the days I've spent,
in dark and in light,
I thought of a defined 'you'...
to be the force of my existence.
to be the joy in my eyes.
to be the love in my heart.

And in all the times of reminiscence,
'You' were the guide to my striking fate,
God, I kneel before you....
as the shining star,
of my beloved rendition of 'Grace'.

babyblue and sherrywine...

for you make me feel like

babyblue in sherrywine.

In the strangest places..

i find you
i see you
for a moment in time
dazzled
and blinded
by the pouring kindness
and love
i see in you
to be the one
who will be
anyone for everyone
someone to noone
and the more i see
the more amazed
for in strangest places
i find you
sparkling and glistening
to be the one. :)

To the bright eyed one,

Yes, the world might seem too bright for your eyes to be opened almost always and sometimes it might feel like you are blinded. Don’t fret. The world just hasn’t seen the sparkle in yours. Just don’t let it fade away.

Eventually you do find your way.

Do not be too naïve. You just haven’t learnt enough to trust in anyone or anything. But guess you might be smart enough to figure it out by yourself.

All in all you are about to have the best times in your life with great friends and you will regret and miss those days immensely. (I know that only too well)

Please make sure you eat breakfast every day. It might do you good to start off the day fresh with a bit more energy. You might be a less of your floating self and might help to cope up with that height of yours with more flesh on those long bones. Haha.

How much you hate your parents or your siblings they are the best you’ll ever get. So fight away but keep in mind you love them.

Learn music properly when you get the chance because you know you have a good ear for it.

Get carried away and dance away because you won't be young and bubbly for very long.

You are a rebel at heart so don’t get closed up for no reason.

Don’t think that other people are smarter than you. Later on you will realize that thought is just ridiculous.

And yes. Fall in love. The choices you make will define you. Do not be afraid to make mistakes.

One day when you are me, you will join me in this silent laughter after writing this and thank god for the person you turned out to be.

Yours always,
The starry eyed one.

Grey.

Post war era. A new beginning to all the optimists who choose to think that life without war is finally not a dream after all, but reality staring down upon them. As one would say it was a miracle, I choose to believe it was purely the bloodshed of our fellowmen who fought in what was to believe a never ending battle, with courage and bravery one cannot fathom possible. They died, sacrificing their lives, homes, families, dreams, hopes and simply existence just for the love of their country and for a better future of our children.

With all the jubilations and sighs of reliefs, us Sri Lankans tend to forget what lies ahead. For many, a new holiday in their calendar is the day of victory. It is the day to sit at home to watch television, where the channels broadcast live telecast of new found independence with advertisements popping up every five minutes. It is the day to be egoistically proud of so called ‘undefeated lions’ of one nation. Are we truly undefeated? Have we truly won the battle? Have we finally found all the solutions to the ethnic conflict? Are we a ‘one nation’? Questions we avoid to answer surely because ignorance is bliss?

These are the days I choose to call as the days of Greys. Are we black or are we white? On one hand we won a battle of thirty years and defeated the most dangerous terrorist group in the world, who used guerrilla attacks, suicide bombers and child soldiers as their main weapons. We united as one nation and live as free men of our country. On the other hand, we are responsible for the deaths of hundreds and thousands of men and women whom were once a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a friend, a son or a daughter, despite the ethnicity, Sinhala, Tamil or Muslim. We are responsible for hundreds of IDP camps in war zones. We are responsible for the childhood and future of children who are dying to play in their own back yards, go to school and live a happy life.

I simply prefer neither black nor white, but grey. Greyness initiates not to take sides but to clear our eyes from the inferiority, dishonesty, racism and ignorance which have clouded the minds and spirits of us. It directs us to start analyzing where we went wrong, what we did wrong and what we are doing wrong. As far as it goes violence can never be defeated by violence. War suddenly ended on a note of violence just like in a movie where the enemy is wiped out. Can that be the real end of a thirty year old conflict? Does it give all the solutions to the sufferings and torments of innocent beings?

Thinking grey is a way of weighing all possibilities. It is all about being fair to our neighbors as well as to ourselves. Admitting things happened in the past was at fault and rethinking our actions and changing our attitudes towards minority is essential. Sometimes human actions are fast and inhumane. Like the times we address our Tamil friends and inquire about how they were affected by war, just out of curiosity. These questions might hurt them deeply and incessantly.

As an example once when I was at a lecture with few of my colleagues, I asked one of the Tamil students if her relatives were any how involved in war. This led to a drastic change in the atmosphere where it all turned gloomy and intense. The girl who was smiling and friendly suddenly replied in a defensive way and turned her back on me. I fairly well understood that I should not pry into matters as such in a futile way as that my knowledge of their sufferings is nowhere near reality of the situation. What she told me simply was that “many died, all of them are dead”. As dense as I could be, I did not consider the consequences of my actions. To make matters worse, the lecturer started on a topic of how great thou art is Sri Lankan politics and what happened was for the best. It felt more like brainwashing the Tamil into believing they don’t have to fear anymore as that everything is under control. I clearly have my doubts.

The best solution is yet to be found. It should be based upon the feelings and emotions of the sufferings. It should protect basic human rights of any ethnicity group. It should give every being the freedom to live and express their thoughts in a language they prefer. It should give them the right to be accepted for who they are. This is the perfection of greys, choosing neither black nor white but accepting imperfection. It is the wisdom of actual peace and harmony in words, thoughts and deeds. Surely the day we achieve this will be the day of glory.

Just another Sunday...

walking over the aisle of the church,
seated among the unknowns yet brothers and sisters,
hearing the godly words from dear father,
and rejoicing to the words of glory,
praising the father who art thou in heaven,
prayers of mercy, hymns of grace,
a baby crying out...
a mother rushing out...
just another day,
a sunday....

the priest taking the bow,
wishing all mankind peace...
and as i take my turn to do the same,
glanced over the two people holding hands in the front,
they turn to each other with smiles,
"Peace be with you"
with a peck on the cheek, and a hug,
the grey haired lady and a kind sir,
with wrinkled faces and spectacles,
turned around to make my day...

what will it take to be in that dear old lady's shoe???
i wish i knew....

Refreshed...

Ive listened to my heart and did the most irrational things possible...

and what was the outcome???

absolute emptiness and pain...

am i a failure??? nah....

but what could be more brave to do what you think is the right thing and to start fresh...

yup! im happy i was not a coward...

so here i am!

starting again...

one might call it "refreshed"..

To a young artist...

"To be an artist means: not to reckon and count; to ripen like the tree which does not force its sap and stands confident in the storms of Spring without fear lest no Summer might come after. It does come. But it comes only to the patient ones, who are there as if eternity lay in front of them, so unconcernedly still and far. I am learning it daily, learning it through pains to which I am grateful: patience is all!"

botteling up....

all the daring thoughts...
that comes to my mind...right here...right now
to be written down...to be expressed freely...
scrolled up and sealed...
in a bottle...
just like that...
cork tightened...
i vow to be thrown away...
out into the blue green ocean...
as far as the eye can see...

one day just as it might find another shore...
where another as me...
open it..
and all of it rewinds...
just as it happened...
just as now...

Time of your life......

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road,
Time grabs you by the wrist, Directs you where to go,
So make the best of this test, And don't ask why,
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time,
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right,
I hope you had the time of your life....

So take the photographs, And still-frames in your mind,
hang it on a shelf,In good health and good time,
tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial,
for what it's worth, it was worth all the while,
It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right,
I hope you had the time of your life......

it's something unpredictable but in the end it's right,
I hope you had the time of your life..........

I, a mystery to be solved.....

I, the word itself could mean a lot... just a one letter consisting of a name, an age defined by time counted by years, months and days, a living being with a soul, a story to be told by the next generation to come....

I, the word itself is a mystery.....a mystery that 'I' want someone to solve....and tell me the meaning of 'I'....for 'I' wish to be defined....found out by clues...sought out by the one to solve the mystery of 'I'.....as 'I' still linger here as 'I'......

frustrated.....

As for now after the big event which was a great success due to many efforts from a team of incredible talent i sit here rethinking of it all.....

I still cant understand how tiny little men running around killing each other on a screen can be so thrilling....all the blood that's spilled on screen does not make anything better...yet how people are enchanted and only thing in mind is winning....yet i was curious enough to try it out myself...to tell the truth i enjoyed it more than i wanted to....and had to admit to a certain arrogant person that he was right....arghh....now we humans do not like to admit we were ever wrong now, do we?

The next frustration i came across is not new to me....i again entered the cycle of wondering "why is he here?? is he with friends??? why did he bother to turn up anyway??? he's not even great friends with the team....cyber games is not his thing anyway....etc etc..." endless questions and arriving at absurd conclusions and tiring myself for no reason.... but the new me knows better... the new me does not give a damn anymore.......

The obsession of starry eyes...yes that's a bit more frustrating than i expected...is it just an obsession??? still cant find an answer...

yet the world spins around me....but me??? am i stuck in one place??? if anyone can find an answer ill be forever grateful... yet im smiling the secret smile for i have hope....surely oneday we'll all be ok???

fingers crossed....

starry eyes
over and out...

August Rush........

The rush of the wind........the sweet harmonica played.....every sound drawing you closer to where you belong....the wind chimes swaying to the sound of the wind.....the chills it gives you....tingles starting from the toes spreading through the soul....the sensation and the feeling of ecstasy.......

well i call it the "august rush".....music is everywhere, as long as you stop to listen.....

yes i do believe life is all music....full of it....major scales and minor scales....quavers and semi quavers to spice it all up....sharps and flats to stir it up....... sometimes a soprano...sometimes a dull note...whatever it is you know you are free....on cloud number nine as some say...

hmmm....what im trying to say maybe is that august was full of it....every single day was a song played by the wind....so many good byes....so many sighing....so many sleepless nights of thinking life will ever be the same again....but yet so many more to come....so many more to say....so much to look forward to....am i being too naive????

yet its a rush....a rush of emotions which cannot be described...yet so exciting....i again call it the "August Rush"

perhaps BI would agree with me??? ;)

Back to the land of blogs...

Hey mind you i do have one more paper to study for...
oh well, just thought of getting back after visiting the land of Narnians...
and loosing the wallet on the way and finding it back..
(i was scared to death but my greatest quality on not showing emotions got the best of me)
oh...and breaking a slipper just before the exam and walking around in university premises...one on,one off....
looking for the shoe guy on the road who is forever there but not there when you actually want him to be there....
asking for a dear friend to bring slippers for me....but managing to pin it back somehow...
ice cream just to get off the rain and "hey too bad boy!!!you are not getting a tip just because you served us extra scoops...haaa!!! we did NOT ask for it!!!!" (oops...more like we are broke and was almost robbed so don't have enough money to pay for it...sorry)
and yes!!! finally ending one of those days...one that might be on your mind for a long time....free bus ride back home...(Not that we winked at the conductor or threatened him with a bomb...simply we couldn't find him...)
now how extraordinary is that???? ;)
It has been too long....good to be back...
